Those of us born in the month of June are hopefully aware that the month is well supplied with birthstone choices. There are three to be exact. The colour changing Alexandrite, mysterious  Moonstone and the classic Pearl make June – a birthstone extravaganza month. In fact, I purchased my first birthday gift of the year in an act of blatant self-gifting, when on a short holiday to Andalucia Spain. I picked up a large Moonstone with an oval sterling-silver bezel setting at a street fair in Malaga.  I wanted something from a local artisan and am very happy with my find.

June Gemstone Bacchanal

That was a month ago and now we are on the cusp of the Spring Bacchanal known as June!  I am shopping at Rocks & Co. for an Alexandrite pendant and maybe even freshwater Pearl earrings to top off the celebration of my birthday month and to complete the June birthstone trifecta!  Many of us June children are born under the star sign of  Gemini and are known for our lighting wit; charisma and a voracious appetite for adventure and beauty, darling!  So, it is safe to assume we would love any one of these gemstone beauties or maybe even one of each?  All three gems are uniquely beautiful making it hard to make a choice between them. What a fun predicament we have!

Gifting someone is a fun challenge in terms of knowing what the giftie likes. Especially if your June baby has not made it clear what gemstone or jewellery type is preferential. I have written in the past about pendants being a safe bet for gift giving. In fact, one could gift three different pendants with a single chain which can be worn together in charm necklace fashion, or individually, as the mood determines. So, yes this Gemini is campaigning for a very sweet June birth celebration with three types of gemstones, please!
